David Lee

Founder & Managing Partner

David Lee is the Founder and Managing Partner of Mach 1, serving clients and leading the team since its beginning. A 1996 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in computer science, David transitioned from an exciting career as an F-16 fighter pilot to launching Mach 1 Financial Group. He has now been in the financial services industry for over 20 years. He holds life and health insurance licenses and has earned the Series 65 designation.

David finds the greatest fulfillment in providing peace of mind to his clients, helping them feel confident in their financial future. He loves the strong family culture at Mach 1 and the way the team lives out its core values every day.

David and his wife, Jennie, have been married for nearly three decades and have two children, Faith and Connor. Their family also includes a beloved pet, Charlie. When he’s not in the office, David enjoys snow skiing, fly fishing and boating with family and friends.

Matt Walters, CFP®

Partner & CEO

Matt Walters joined Mach 1 Financial Group in 2018. He brings a passion for serving families and a decade of experience in the insurance and wealth management industry. After earning his finance degree from Harding University in 2013, Matt built his career serving clients in Little Rock and Nashville before returning to Arkansas. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional who has passed the Series 65 securities exam and holds his life and health insurance licenses.

Matt’s favorite part of working with clients at Mach 1 is getting to know them personally and helping them achieve their goals. He appreciates the strong sense of family on the Mach 1 team and how each member lives out core values every day.

Matt and his wife, Haley, have three children: Bennett, Norah and Charlotte. When he’s not in the office, you’ll find Matt enjoying sports, hunting, fishing or traveling with his family.

Lee Mackey, JD

Partner & President

Lee Mackey graduated from Harding University in 1991 with a BBA in economics and went on to earn his JD from SMU School of Law in 1994. He holds life and health insurance licenses as well as Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses. Lee joined Mach 1 in 2022, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in wealth management across all types of organizations.

Lee enjoys helping clients achieve their financial goals and dreams, finding great satisfaction in their success. He values being part of the Mach 1 team — a family that invests in each other and works toward something bigger than themselves.

Lee and his wife, Susan, have a blended family of six wonderful children: Jake, Emma Kate, Samuel, Lucy, Milly and Kolt. Their household also includes a tabby cat, Oliver, and a Shih Tzu named Miles. Outside the office, Lee loves traveling, spending time with family (especially his grandchildren) and cheering on the Razorbacks.

Financial Advisor - VP - Investments

John Martfeld II graduated from the University of Maryland in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in business finance. He joined Mach 1 in 2023, transitioning from his own individual practice, and brings 25 years of experience in the financial industry. John holds life and health insurance licenses as well as Series 7 and 67 securities licenses.

John finds fulfillment in helping people navigate their financial lives and enjoys making a difference for his clients. He values being part of the Mach 1 team, appreciating the great people and the big hearts that define the firm’s culture.

John and his wife, Cathy, have two sons, Connor and Colton. The family also includes two golden retrievers, Thunder and Theo. Outside the office, John enjoys playing golf and watching football.

Eli Freeman graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in finance and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional. He also holds Series 65, 66, 6 and SIE licenses. Eli joined Mach 1 in 2021.

Eli enjoys helping clients efficiently align their wealth with their values, aiming to bring clarity and confidence to their financial lives. He values the Mach 1 team’s culture, where everyone genuinely cares for both the clients and one another.

Eli and his wife, Meri Grace, have a son named Hudson, and their family also includes a Great Dane named June. Outside the office, Eli loves spending time with his family outdoors, golfing, reading and traveling.

Isaac Johnson, CFP®

Financial Advisor - VP - Insurance

Isaac Johnson graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2018 with a degree in finance and joined Mach 1 in April 2024. A CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) professional, he holds life, health and annuity licenses as well as the Series 65 designation. Before joining March 1, Isaac gained experience in teaching, real estate, and wealth management.

Isaac enjoys building relationships with clients and finds it rewarding to help them bring their goals to life. He especially appreciates seeing the impact when plans come together for a successful retirement. He values Mach 1’s genuine, family-first environment and loves working alongside people who truly care about life both inside and outside the office.

Isaac and his wife, Michelle, have been married for 4 years and have a son named Graham, and their family also includes a dog named Muss. Outside of work, Isaac enjoys traveling and watching sports.

Financial Advisor

Graham Funderburk graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2023 with a degree in finance. He began his career at Arvest Wealth Management and joined Mach 1 in 2025. Graham holds life and health insurance licenses, as well as his SIE, Series 7 and Series 66.

Graham enjoys helping clients navigate important financial decisions and creating plans that build confidence in a meaningful future. He appreciates the supportive, family-like culture at Mach 1, where the team is fun, uplifting and always encouraging to one another.

Graham and his wife, Olivia, share their home with a Chihuahua named Archer. Outside the office, Graham enjoys playing golf, spending time with friends and family, and being outdoors — especially tackling yardwork.

Nick McKenney joined Mach 1 in 2025 following a career pivot from the nursing industry. He graduated from Auburn University in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in nursing and now holds both health and life insurance licenses as well as the Series 65 designation.

Nick enjoys connecting with clients beyond just the financial side, helping them reach their goals so they can do more of what they love. He appreciates the genuine, caring atmosphere at Mach 1, where the team truly feels like family.

Nick and his wife, Brittany, have four children: Jaxon, Kaden, Madi Claire and Rhett. Outside the office, Nick enjoys playing with his kids, spending time outdoors and serving at church.

Susan Correll

Director of Client Success

Susan Correll graduated from Valencia Community College in 1985 with an Associate of Arts degree and has been part of the Mach 1 team since 2012.

Susan enjoys taking care of clients and values being part of a team made up of great people. She finds fulfillment in building relationships and supporting those she works with every day.

Susan is married to Harold Correll Jr. and has two children, Harold Correll III and Tori. Her family also includes two dogs: Greta, a German Shepherd, and Stella, a Golden Retriever. Outside the office, Susan loves spending time with her granddaughters, tending to indoor plants, reading, and playing pickleball and tennis.

Heather Conklin graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1998 with a degree in business management and marketing. She joined Mach 1 in 2013.

Heather loves being part of a team that strives to make a difference in clients’ lives, treating each one like family. She appreciates the way every member of the Mach 1 team lives out core values of integrity, putting others first and pursuing excellence in all they do.

Heather and her husband, John, have been married for 30 years. They have four children — Kristen, Emily, William and Kimberly — and a beloved pet, Lady Bug. Outside the office, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, hiking, relaxing at the lake, being outdoors, reading, shopping and crafting.

Cathy Martfeld graduated from Southwestern Illinois College in 1991 with a degree in business and management. Before joining Mach 1 in 2023, she spent over seven years supporting financial advisors and managing client accounts. She also previously served as Executive Assistant to the CFO of Sam’s Club in Bentonville.

Cathy enjoys the positive and supportive environment at Mach 1 and values the strong family team connection she experiences every day.

Cathy and her husband, John, have been married for over 25 years and have two sons, Connor and Colton. Their family also includes two golden retrievers, Thunder and Theo. Outside of work, Cathy enjoys group fitness classes, cycling, bird watching and traveling.

Mary Harding graduated from NWACC in 2022 with an Associate of Science in accounting and began her career in the financial advising industry shortly after. She joined Mach 1 in 2024.

Mary finds fulfillment in helping Mach 1 clients, treating each one as if they were family. She enjoys making a positive difference every day. Mary also appreciates the supportive, family-like environment at Mach 1, where the team’s values are put into action and everyone is there for one another through life’s ups and downs.

Outside the office, Mary enjoys traveling, photography and working out at the gym. She loves supporting her son, Jeremy, in his activities with the BHS marching band and Boy Scouts. Mary also enjoys spending time with their yellow lab, June.

Rachel Anderson graduated from Putnam City West High School in 2000 and joined Mach 1 in 2021.

Rachel finds joy in making each client feel known, appreciating the opportunity to bring happiness to others through her work. She loves the camaraderie of the Mach 1 team — laughing together, sharing life’s moments, and feeling genuinely cared for by her coworkers and bosses.

Rachel and her husband, Jarrod, have been married for 25 years and have three children: Judd Wyatt, Brody Hall and Pete Mitchell. Their lively household also includes a dog named Girl, six chickens and four ducks. At home, Rachel enjoys baking, taking long walks, singing songs about Jesus and dancing with her family.

Melinda Venable graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 1990 with a degree in office information management and a minor in marketing. She joined Mach 1 in 2023.

Melinda enjoys greeting every client who comes through the door and getting to know them personally. She looks forward to seeing Mach 1’s wonderful clients each time they visit. Melinda also appreciates the unique family dynamic of the Mach 1 team and loves the camaraderie, especially during their Monday morning huddles as they share devotionals and pray together.

Melinda and her husband, Gerald, have three children — Andrea, Zach and Koby — and four grandchildren. Outside the office, Melinda enjoys traveling and going on RV trips with her husband, as well as cheering for the Razorbacks.

Traci Poland graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1990 with a degree in marketing and management. Before joining Mach 1 in 2024, she spent 32 years working in the vendor world, gaining valuable experience along the way.

Traci loves that her role at Mach 1 allows her to help clients fulfill their dreams. She also values the supportive, family-like team environment that makes Mach 1 feel like home.

Traci is married to Christopher and they have two children, Joshua and Abbi. Outside the office, Traci enjoys cheering on Razorback baseball, biking and reading.

Brent Leas

Chief Compliance Officer

Brent Leas graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in biblical studies. He began his financial services career in 1994 with a local bank, later focusing on investments and insurance services in both advisory and management roles. Brent holds an Arkansas life and health insurance license and the CSCP-IA/BD® credential.

Brent enjoys his work at Mach 1 because it allows him to support people, protect clients and build trust. He appreciates the family atmosphere at Mach 1 and feels blessed to be part of a team that genuinely cares for each other and consistently reflects core values.

Brent has been married to Stephanie for more than 30 years. They have three children — Breanna, Josiah and Sophia — and a Maltese/Boston Terrier mix named Dixie Belle. Outside the office, Brent enjoys walking, volunteering in community organizations, participating in ministry meetings and Bible studies, and taking beach vacations.

Tammy Lawler

Controller

Tammy Lawler graduated from Southwest Tennessee in 1991 and Southern New Hampshire University in 2024, both with a degree in accounting. She has a broad background in accounting, with experience in church accounting departments, property management financial operations and corporate accounting at a large chemical company. Tammy joined Mach 1 in 2020.

Although she doesn’t interact directly with clients often, Tammy finds it fulfilling to support their financial well-being through her behind-the-scenes work. She values being part of a team that makes a meaningful impact and helps strengthen client confidence in Mach 1.

Tammy and her husband, David, have been married for more than three decades and have two daughters, Rebekah and Hannah. Outside of work, Tammy enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active, going on bike rides, learning new things, ministering to others and catching up on a good show.

Laura Parker joined Mach 1 in 2025, bringing a strong background in banking technology and mortgages, working closely with financial institutions and loan operations. This experience helped build her expertise around supporting clients and improving processes.

Erica Chapman graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2022 with a degree in marketing and management. She first joined Mach 1 as an intern and has been a full-time member of the team since 2022.
