David Lee

Founder & Managing Partner

David A. Lee is founder and CEO of Mach 1 Financial. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, David served nearly a decade as an F-16 Fighter Pilot, before entering the business world to seek a more stable lifestyle for his wife and young children. Since 2005 it has been David’s goal to help protect the retirement assets of hundreds of retirees across the region. 

David and his wife, Jennie, have two children, Faith and Connor. They reside in Springdale, Arkansas where David enjoys church and charitable related activities, spending time with family, flying, fly fishing, basketball, college football and traveling.

Matt Walters, CFP®

CEO

Matt is a graduate of Harding University where he studied Finance. Matt enjoys working with clients in various stages of life, helping people meet their goals regardless of what those might be. He holds his Series 65 license (Fiduciary) and is also insurance licensed.

Matt is married to his lovely wife, Haley, and they have three children, Bennett, Norah, and Charlotte. They currently reside in Springdale, where they enjoy church, being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with family.

Lee Mackey, JD

President & COO

Lee has spent nearly three decades offering financial services and advice to clients. He’s a graduate of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and earned a law degree from SMU in Dallas, Texas. Lee went on to hold management positions at various wealth management organizations in Arkansas, Tennessee & Kentucky, before joining Morgan Stanley in 2011. In 2017, he fulfilled a dream by starting Mackey Investment Group. In 2022, Lee merged his practice with Mach 1 Financial Group, furthering his goal of serving clients across the state.

Lee maintains a strong sense of community, believing that giving back is vital to our community’s growth. While in Searcy, he was active with both the United Way and Child Safety Center. He has recently been appointed to Board of Directors of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Benton County (AR).

Lee is the proud father of Jake, Emma Kate, Lucy, Milly James & Kolt. He and his wife, Susan, live in Rogers, where they enjoy entertaining, traveling & attending Razorback sporting events.

John Martfeld

Sr. Financial Advisor

John brings more than 20 years of experience to our team of advisors. A graduate of the University of Maryland, John joined Mach 1 in 2023 after spending 10 years as an independent financial advisor in Rogers, Arkansas. He believes every client’s needs are unique, and enjoys creating a financial plan to help foster those needs.

John was born and raised in Rogers, where he currently resides with his wife Cathy. They have two sons, Connor and Colton. In their free time, John and Cathy enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and playing golf in the natural beauty of Northwest Arkansas.

Eli Freeman

Director of Advisor Development

Eli joined the Mach 1 team of advisors in 2021. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Oklahoma State University. Eli is a registered Investment Advisor Representative (fiduciary) and a licensed life insurance agent.

Eli enjoys golfing, running, and grilling with friends and family.

Eli is passionate about providing clarity and direction to the finances of our clients and is excited to meet with you!

Ashton Davis

Financial Advisor

Ashton grew up in Searcy, Arkansas where she attended Harding Academy and later graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Business Management and Finance. She now resides in Rogers with her dog, Bear, and they enjoy taking long walks and exploring the beautiful NWA area. Ashton loves traveling, cooking, attending Razorback sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.

Ashton decided to join the Mach 1 team because of the love they exhibit for the clients and for each other. She hopes to help clients achieve their financial goals, live out their dreams, and most importantly, enjoy their life!

Isaac Johnson

Financial Advisor

Isaac Johnson did a variety of jobs before landing at Mach 1. He was a teacher, a coach, and a real estate agent. He felt this calling towards financial advising as he kept trying to help people with their finances. Right now, he is kept very busy with his newborn son Graham. He and his wife enjoy traveling, sports, and walking their dog Muss.

Carole Frost

Director of Client Services

Carole and her husband, Mike, have lived in Bentonville since 2001. They are originally from Tennessee.

They have been blessed with two children. Their daughter, Meredith, son-in-law, Brian, and grandson, Hayes, live in Ozark, Missouri. Their son, David, and daughter-in-law, Megan, reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Carole enjoys gardening, sewing, church activities and Nana to Hayes. She and Mike attend First Baptist Church in Bentonville.

Kate Dunning

Client Service Manager

Kate and her husband Joel are originally from Scottsdale, Arizona but are loving Northwest Arkansas. Together they have four kids and five grandkids. They love being outdoors with their garden, farm animals, or exploring NWA by fishing and hiking! Kate is especially passionate about cooking and hopes to publish a cookbook soon!

Susan Correll

Client Service Manager

Susan lives in Bella Vista with her husband of 37 years, Hal, and her two dogs (Stella, Golden Retriever, and Greta, German Shepard).

She has two adult children, both married. Her daughter Tori, an OR nurse lives in St. Louis with her husband, Vince. Her son Harold lives in Bentonville with his wife, Rachel, and her daughter, Cadence.

Susan attends FBC Bentonville and love spending time with her family and the dogs.

Heather Conklin

Client Service Manager

Heather is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing. She and her husband John were both born and raised here in NW Arkansas.

They have two daughters, Emily and Kristen. Ladybug is their sweet dog. Heather enjoys traveling, gardening, and reading. She and her family attend church and are very grounded in their faith.

Beth Brown

Client Service Manager

Beth is married to Max and moved to NWA in 1984. Beth has a Business Management degree and came to Mach 1 from a local financial institution where she served in many customer service and operations capacities during her 34 years there.

Beth lives in Bentonville with her husband, Max. Their son Matthew, daughter-in-law, Jennifer, and grandkids Tyler, Rylea, Caleb, and Wyatt live in Rogers. Beth enjoys sewing, baking, and reading. She and Max enjoy outdoor activities and especially motorcycle riding and vacations on their Honda GoldWing. When they are not riding or enjoying their family time, Max and Beth are active in their church and serving the Lord at First Baptist Church here in Bentonville.

Regan Still

Client Service Manager

Regan was born and raised in Branson, MO. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Political Science, which took her to Senator Roy Blunt’s office in Washington, DC for 2 years following graduation. Regan later moved back to NWA, where she joined the Mach 1 team.

Regan spent Summer ’22 on the road with Kanakuk Kampout!, where she led a team of 30 college students to share the gospel with 5-12 year olds. She is currently involved locally at Fellowship Bible Church. She loves the outdoors, country music, and learning something new every day!

Mary Harding

Client Service Manager

Mary Harding loves hiking, photography, and cheering on her eighth-grader son who plays the French horn and is a very active boyscout. She loves working with clients.

Rachel Anderson

Director of First Impressions

Rachel and her husband, Jarrod, are both Oklahomans turned Arkansans. They have been married 20 years and are busy raising 3 growing boys. Rachel was blessed to homeschool her boys until they started school in 6th grade. Now she works to create a joyful, helpful environment at Mach 1 as Director of First Impressions.

If she isn’t driving her sons to football practice, she is sitting next to Jarrod, watering her flowers or feeding the chickens. Her best time of the week is when they’re all home together for movie night. God has been so faithful to her and her family and they aim to please Him as they continue to raise their boys into young men.

Melinda Venable

Office Manager

Melinda and her husband Gerald were both born and raised in Fort Smith. They currently live in Rogers, where they raised their three children, and are the proud grandparents of three precious grandchildren. Their daughter Andrea and grandchildren Avery & Atticus live in Rogers. Their son Zach, daughter-in-law Alex, and grandson Kasen live in Conway. And their youngest son, Koby, is a student at U of A Fort Smith.

Melinda and Gerald enjoy spending time at the lake and watching Razorback sports! WooPig Sooie!!! They attend Southside Church of Christ.

Brent Leas

Director of Compliance & Operations

Brent is a graduate of Evangel University (Springfield, MO) earning a B.A. degree in Bibical Studies. He began his career in financial services in 1994 when he moved to Northwest Arkansas from Southwest City, MO. Brent initially moved to NWA to serve as the Children’s Pastor for a local church (The Christian Center) to utilize his Biblical Studies degree. In order to supplement his ministry work, Brent also worked part-time in a local bank. Eventually, he went full-time in financial services, specifically in investment and insurance services, in the early 2000s. 

Brent and his wife Stephanie recently moved to Bentonville after living in Bella Vista, since marrying in March of 1995. He is the proud father of Breanna, Josiah, and Sophia. He and his wife are still actively involved in lay ministry and serve at their local church, C7 Church, Bentonville, AR.

Tammy Lawler

CCO & Controller

Tammy joined the Mach 1 team in 2020. She’s grew up in the Memphis, Tennessee area, where she graduated from State Tech with a degree in accounting and also met her husband, David. 

Tammy and David moved to Northwest Arkansas in 2005. They have two grown children, Rebekah and Hannah. Tammy enjoys traveling to new locations, spending time with her family, sewing quilts, and scrapbooking their family memories. She and her family attend First Baptist Church – Bentonville.

Erica Chapman

Director of Marketing

Erica is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management.
A proud Bentonville native, Erica enjoys walking on the Razorback Greenway, spending time Downtown, and serving her local church. Erica loves working at Mach 1 for many reasons, but the Christ-centered culture is her favorite part.

Zoe Moody

Content Manager

Zoe was born and raised in Minnesota, living most of her childhood in downtown St. Paul. She was homeschooled alongside her four younger siblings before attending Century College in White Bear Lake where she received a certificate in Communication Studies. After a long friendship throughout high school which turned into a long-distance relationship, in 2021 Zoe made the move to NWA to be close to her now-husband, Sam.  

They were married in 2022 and in 2023, she graduated from John Brown University with her bachelor’s in communications/media-production.

Working at Mach 1 was an answer to prayers in many ways, giving Zoe the ability to do a job she loves, with people she loves, while serving the God she loves.
